The Best Grilled Lamb Chops

OUR CONTINUING SERIES OF RECIPES AND WINE PAIRINGS

It’s grill time in Texas! Almost all grill-masters love to serve steak, ribs or brisket. On the other hand, I love grilling lamb and this easy recipe is quick and satisfying.

THE BEST GRILLED LAMB CHOPS

The Best Pork Chops

SERVES 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 tsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 8 Lamb Chops, thick cut

Directions:

  • Wisk the first 8 ingredients in a medium bowl and place in a large zip-lock bag.
  • Add the chops and marinate for 2 - 6 hours in refrigerator.
  • Preheat grill. Place lamb chops on a hot grill and sear each side for 4 – 5 minutes until medium done.
  • Let the chops rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Lamb is a dish with a mild finish, so the ideal wine pairing should also
have a similar finish. Sandy Road Vineyards “Good as Gone” is the
perfect wine to compliment this meal. An easy drinker for sure. Just the
right amount of strawberry and cherry notes to tantalize the palate while
light tannins balance the finish.

Hope to see you soon at the vineyard!
